OnePlus has launched its new smartphones and along with them, the company has come up with the new OnePlus Wireless Bullets earphones. The new wireless earphones come with a similar design, better sound quality, and acts as good value for money. It is a huge step up from the original OnePlus Bullets Wireless. But, is this product worthy choice to buy? Let’s check out in the OnePlus Bullets Wireless 2 review below:
Design and specifications
OnePlus Bullets Wireless 2 comes just like its predecessor with same neckband plus wired design. Like Bullets Wireless only, this one has the same aesthetics and build. The new ones have become a tad bit wider and don’t have wingtip attachments. Also, the earbuds feel a bit lighter and offer more comfort. The earphones have metal plus plastic build whereas each earbud’s outer part is magnetic. These can attach to each other which prevent tangling of wires. The magnetic clamp is the power switch of the product which turns on the earbuds when detached and turns off when attached. You can easily buy this device online using Paytm Referral with great deals.
Just like Bullets Wireless only, this one also has the same neckband and controls. On the left side, there is a power button, indicator light, and USB Type-C port for charging. On the neckband cable, there is a three-button inline remote with the volume rocker and playback control.
Out of the box, you get three pairs of silicone ear tips, a rubber carrying case, and a short USB Type-C to USB-A cable. The case is still too small to fit the product into which detached the magnetic clamps sometimes and the product got connected to a smartphone.
But, it isn’t like that there are zero changes in design. There are little changes but the big changes are in the spec sheet. The earphone support Bluetooth 5 for connectivity and aptX and aptX HD Bluetooth codecs. The earphones have a frequency response range of 20-20,000Hz. The drivers under the hood are also changed. It is basically a hybrid triple-driver product where each earpiece has a pair of balanced armature drivers and one dynamic driver. The armature drivers are present to handle mids and highs whereas dynamic driver handles all the low-end music.
Just like OnePlus 7 Pro, this product too supports Warp Charge standard. OnePlus Bullets Wireless 2 have the ability to go from 0-100 percent in less than 20 minutes with a standard charger. It can give you 12 hours of battery life at a full charge which is brilliantly excellent for any wireless earphones.
OnePlus Bullets Wireless were known for its mids handling and decent bass. At mids, the predecessor came out with pure detailing. In the newer model of same audio product, the audio quality is improved- thanks to triple driver setup. The songs which are bass-heavy when heard with this product gave detailed sonic signature with utter clarity. The soundstage was wide which bring the audio sharper into the ears. The new drivers have played with the bass a tad bit. It is not as punch as in its predecessor. Instead of being punchy, it is tighter and feels like bounded. In mid-range and high-range, the difference is felt- when compared to both audio products.
The multi-driver setup surely helped the audio product to sound better and bring more detail out of the songs. Although, the dynamic drivers were not that good and made much of a difference.
On voice calls, the audio product did a great job. On both the ends, the voice quality was clear. Sound leakage is no more a problem now in this product. Connectivity is easy and user-friendly too.
Coming at the price tag of Rs. 5,990, OnePlus Bullets Wireless 2 is one of the best wireless headsets in the market which you can buy. Yes, it is costlier than its predecessor but it is worth investing. The sound quality has improved insanely, the design has changed a bit but the features have remained the same. Irrespective of the fact that you are owning a OnePlus smartphone or not, the Bullets Wireless 2 is a brilliant investment which can act as your smartphone’s or PC’s punchy partner. If you are looking for technical assistant job then it could be the best chance to try it.
